Jeannie Parker

Jeannie has been teaching a variety of yoga styles for the last 5 years, but her yoga practice extends back to over 25 years, with a foundation of Ashtanga and Hatha. Growing up in the foothills of Byron Bay in the 90’s where she also trained for 16 yrs in classical and contemporary ballet at the Conservatorium of the arts with Southern Cross University where she was also trained in Yoga with teachers Rachel Zinnam and Louisa Sears. Finding a passion for music through dance, her passions led her to become an electronic music producer and DJ, founding her own business a record label named Solar Records. This took her on many travels around the globe, sharing her love for music and dance and helping many others to fall in love with movement through music and movement.
In 2016 Jeannie was blessed with a pathway to Vinyasa Yoga teaching training with Sandy Delgado (Savvy Soul Yoga in the U.S.A) and Samantha Bijok (The Australian Yoga Foundations, Senior level Yoga Therapist AAYT), at Austral Yoga. Jeannie is a 350hr trained Advanced Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, Registered with Yoga Australia, and Yoga Alliance and is continuously furthering her education. She did her Advanced Vinyasa Yoga training with Power Living Australia and Jeannie is also an Advanced Level 2 Yin yoga Teacher, also trained with Power Living Australia. Jeannie is also Front Line Yoga, trauma aware trained to bring yoga and mindfulness to those who work in the front line, as well as other students who may have experienced other forms of stress in their lives. Jeannie teaches Dynamic Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Senior chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra and meditation, using music as sound therapy throughout class. Focusing on breath, creating freedom through movement, restoring strength and flexibility all the while being conscientious of injury and trauma students may have within their body. Jeannie’s intention is to help others find peace, reduce the stress in people daily life through yoga and meditation practices, help to bering internal strength and wellbeing physically and mentally in a supported safe, environment with yoga.
