When you arrive at our studio in Terrigal, we ask that you please be respectful of the space and other students, and consider these yoga etiquettes:

  • Arrive to your class 10-15 minutes before class begins to still the mind and body to prepare for your practice
  • The studio is a shoe free zone. Please leave your shoes at our show rack at the door and make sure your feet are clean before stepping into the studio
  • The focus of yoga is YOU. This is your practice and enjoyment. Yoga is not a competition or sport
  • Ashtanga and Vinyasa practitioners, please bring a small towel. It can get quite sweaty once you start moving!
  • Leave some space between your last meal and your yoga class so your body can properly digest
  • Respect the space and your fellow students by turning your mobile to silent or off
  • Practice non-violence (ahimsa in Sanskrit) at the studio by being gentle in voice, movement, actions, thought, and attitude. Leave gossip and negative attitudes at the door with your shoes
  • Advise your teacher of any health concerns which may affect your yoga practice
  • Inform your teacher if you do not wish to be adjusted in class
  • If you are unwell, please respect the other students in the class and do not attend until you are feeling better
  • If you need to leave class early for any reason, please advice your teacher
  • If you have any pre-existing health concerns, we advise you first enquire with your own GP before attending class
  • Our teachers will always offer variations/modifications and encourage you to listen to and respect your own strengths and limitations
  • Leave your mat and blanket as you found it and return any additional props you may have used to their basket, ready for the next student to enjoy their practice
